Insight Groups

Educational support groups have quickly become a vital and effective component of the Student Assistance Program.

Insight groups are conducted on a weekly basis during a different class period each week. Students in the middle and high school level have the opportunity to sign up for Insight Groups. Elementary students are referred to counseling groups by teachers, administrators, or parents. These support groups deal with issues relating to peer relationships, divorce and separation, grief and loss, and difficult family relationships due to issues involving chronic illness, alcohol and drug use, and other factors. These educational support groups have been found very effective in helping students improve academic and social functioning.

Please contact a Student Assistance Counselor for more information on Insight Groups.
